Goo Goo Dolls will be in concert at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre Sunday 23 February. Doors open at 7pm with an 8pm start.

Traffic will be heavy in the area before and after the concerts.

Motorists should allow extra travel time, be aware of increased pedestrian activity on roads in the area and follow the direction of police and traffic crews.

The Newcastle Show is a three day annual event taking place at Newcastle Showground, Broadmeadow from 9am Friday 28 February.

To assist with traffic movements, there will be no right or left hand turns from Griffiths Road into the showground on show days.

Changed traffic conditions will be in place on Newcastle Road at the Jesmond Interchange until Tuesday 18 February.

Work will be carried out at night between 7pm and 5am.

During work there will be intermittent single lane closures of the westbound lane.

With an anticipated increase in vehicles on the road network over the coming weeks, motorists are advised to allow extra travel time until the additional capacity of the right-hand turn has been completed.

Glebe Road/St James Road between Park Avenue and Kings Road will be closed from 23 February 2024 to 27 February 2024, between the hours of 1900 and 0600 (night works). During this time, the named section of the road will be inaccessible to the public, and detour signage will be in place.
